St. Louis Ghost Hunters were contacted by a member of a Fraternal Organization in Illinois. The member gave various claims of shadows, noises and feelings of being watched inside the facility. The group then contacted the manager of the building and an investigation was granted.

One we arrived at the location other members of the organization gave us interviews and other claims of the paranormal. Many people reported hearing strange noises and the female workers felt uncomfortable working alone at night. The woman workers claimed doors were opening on there own, the felt like they were being watched in the ball room and one even felt as if something pushed her in the office.

This investigation actually took place on three different occasions. The first night we investigated we had no activity in the office, the billiard room or the bathrooms, but some cold spots were felt in the ballroom. As the night progress, the claims of cold spots were debunked with the heating vents. We were also able to debunk the doors that were opening. The doors had a tendency not to latch and when other near by doors were open a vacuum affect would pull the doors open.

After the investigation was over and we began reviewing evidence we notice something strange. We noticed what appeared to be shadow along the closet door of the ballroom. The shadow was hard to see, but we could not explain it and asked to do a follow up investigation.

The second investigation we started off slow and the main focus was the ballroom. Towards the end of the evening one of the investigators began feeling a cold spot. The cold spot seemed to attach it self to him for about 20 minutes. During that time the left and right sides of his body were experiencing a 20 degree temperature change and at one point the laser thermometers had an odd reading showing showing his temperature over 500 degrees.

During the evidence review, we once again got the shadow, but the video quality didn’t transfer very good. Here is the shadow moving away from the door. No one was in the room when this happened.

We returned to the location one more time, to try to debunk the shadow. This time the night was quiet and there were no personal experiences. We did not capture the shadow that night nor were we able to debunk it. We did however catch a lot of whispering on the audio recorders. The only one that was audible was one of that sounded like a little girl. It sounds like she is saying “please throw the ball”.

This has been a great location. We may return in the future.

Excellent capture on the EVP! The audio is so clear here.

It was really cool to catch an EVP on our third visit. The clients were absolutely certain something was going on so it was great to capture some good evidence. I wish the video of the shadow came out better–much of the shadow seems lost in transfer. As someone who reviewd the evidence in person–it was pretty interesting and not easy to explain away.

At last, someone comes up with the “right” answer!
