St. Louis Ghost Hunters was contacted by the occupants of a home on Famous Ave. in St. Louis. During the interview process it was determined that there are four residents in the house. Each had their personal experiences. The experiences included hearing foot steps on the stairs and into the kitchen, banging noises and falling items, a figure of a man and the appearance of an arm coming from the stairs, hearing laughter and giggling, and the shadows of children running from the house.

Once the group arrived for the investigation, a walk through was performed and the equipment was set up. The family was also interviewed more by Jen. The group then began investigating.

Immediately, the group began to getting high Electro-Magnetic Field (EMF) readings in the yard and house. EMF is caused from the strength of electrical current, and tends to weaken, as the source is further in distance. Paranormal investigators theorize that when a sudden EMF spike occurs an entity may be attempting to manifest itself, therefore causing an unexplainable source of electromagnetic energy. Base temperature readings were established as well. Investigators were paired and sent through out the house to investigate.

As a pair of investigators were in the larger upstairs bedroom the stereo came on without explanation. Further investigation noted that the remote for this stereo was on the bed, however it is undetermined if the remote could or was touched indirectly and caused the radio to come on. At nearly the same time, Jen and Nikki noted a “breath” or “sign” in the master bedroom. This sound was audible to both investigators and captured by both audio-recording devices captured in the room. A second “breath” was then heard by the investigators 40 seconds later. The cause of these sounds was undetermined and unexplained.

The investigation continued without any other personal experiences. However high EMF was found throughout the home and in unusual places, such as above a bed and a wooden door.

Evidence review began the following day. The video and photo images revealed no paranormal activity. However, the audio recordings proved otherwise. After the two breathes were heard in the master bedroom, an unexplained voice is heard. The recording is from the recorder that was placed next to the wireless camera in the master bedroom. You will hear the breath and the investigators discuss that this was heard and attempt to determine its cause. The second breath is the heard. Approximately 30 seconds later a voice, which not heard by either investigator in the room, is heard. The voice appears to be saying, “shocking”. Eleven seconds later the word “wow” is heard. Here is the first video again, but longer so you can here the EVPs.

There was also an EVP from the smaller upstairs bedroom. As the group was talking about the high EMF they were receiving above the bed a voice was picked up on the recorder saying “Now look what you found”

There were numerous EVPs recorded throughout the night. The above mentioned were the clearest and easiest to understand.

This was one of the most interesting investigations I’ve ever been a part of for a number of reasons. It was definitely one of those investigations where we’d experienced enough in the home that I was totally psyched to review evidence. Now months later, it is still really cool to hear those EVPs and remember that night. I’m so curious about the spirit. The voices from upstairs and downstairs sound so similar and I wonder whether its the same “person.”

I agree Lindsey. The EVPs are amazing and so clear. There was no doubt what was being said.

Glad I’ve finally found something I agree with!
