St. Louis Ghost Hunters were contacted by the home owner after she and her husband were no longer living at the house. The owner indicated that while they lived there a number of things had occurred that seemed to have no explanation. The owner had an uneasy feeling in the house and would hear noises on a regular basis. Some of the activity she recalled was finding dog collars unclipped that were normally left clipped, the feeling of someone sitting on the corner of the bed when she was lying down and she witnessed doors on her armoire close on their own behind her as she was looking in a mirror. There was also a closet door in the basement that would open on it’s own.

The property has an interesting history. The former residents were an older couple. The woman had health problems and passed away, but not on the property. The gentleman’s mental health then declined. When the home was purchased by the current owners, the property was full of the previous couples’ belongings. Items of furniture and trinkets remained from these owners on the date of the investigation.

The history of the location and the numerous stories of activity seemed to be an ideal site to invite Psychic Vicki Main. Limited information was provided to Vicki, as well as investigators Emily Rose and Adam so that Vicki would have an untainted experience. We did not tell Vicki any information in regards to the previous home owners, items in the house, or even the current owners experiences.

St. Louis Ghost Hunters and Vicki Main arrived on the location at approximately 8:00pm. The weather that evening was rainy and cold. Upon arrival, Vicki immediately began using the dowsing rods to communicate with whatever entities were present. Vicki uses dowsing rods as a form of communication with the spirit world.

Investigators Jen, Lindsey, and Eric observed and followed Vicki as she toured the home. Vicki made several notes regarding the possible entities that were in the home. She noted that the entity, whom she felt was named Thomas, did not like the current owners (who are both musicians) because of the music that was played in the home.

Vicki also felt that Thomas didn’t like children. The line of questioning seemed to lead the possibility that “Thomas” harmed children while he was alive. An additional entity Vicki called Johnny was also on the property. (Information regarding Thomas or Johnny was unable to be verified through historical records.)

Personal experiences were had throughout the evening by Jen, Lindsey, Eric, and Vicki. Possibly the most profound was the observation and interaction with an unseen mass of spinning air. This mass appeared to respond to the request of the group to lower the temperature in the room. It was felt by multiple investigators that night. This activity occurred in the master bedroom.

Other experiences from a feeling of heaviness to unexplainable pains were felt by the group.

On the night of the investigation a large amount of noises were observed. Note that it was raining the night of the investigation and some of the noises collected on the audio recorders were later debunked as noises associated with the rain. Also, some noises were debunked at a later date when Jen and Lindsey returned to the investigation site and ran the furnace. These noises have a metallic “clinking” sound and seem to follow a pattern after the furnace has been shut off.

At one point the entire group was in the basement and heard several noises. Eric and Adam went upstairs to find out where the noises were coming from. While upstairs the bedroom recorder picked up what sounded like footsteps entering the room. No one was in that part of the house.

Once Eric and Adam finally entered the master bedroom, their radio came on and started making static noises. Then the entire group began to hear more noises, this time in the living room. Those footsteps and noises were not debunked. The entire group then returned upstairs. Once up there the group returned to the master bedroom and the radio started making the static noises again.

During the evening a large number of “orbs” or “light abnormalities” were recorded that evening on the DVR as well by still digital photography and on the hand held cameras. STLGH is not a strong believer in orbs. However, upon review of the video. In addition, several light abnormalities seemed to have characteristics we had not previously experienced. These characteristics included pulsing, colors, and spinning or zip zag movement. Here are some examples of what we caught.

Near the end of the investigation the group was all in the basement doing EVP work. During this time Eric began to feel a very strong cold spot in front of him on the floor. He described it as though something might have been sitting on his lap. Jen was sitting near Eric and was able to feel the cold spot as well. At this time several pictures were taken with orb like object appearing on or near Eric.

It is the opinion of STLGH that on the night of the investigation an entity interacted with the group. It is possible, that this is the cause of the feelings the owners experienced during their residency. Based on the information provided by Vicki Main on the night of the investigation, the entities are not linked to the owners. Nor are they necessarily linked to the home itself, however, the link maybe to the property. A follow up investigation has been scheduled and St. Louis Ghost Hunters will be joined be a writer from the Riverfront Times for the investigation.
