Weisman House – Reinvestigation w/the RFT
After a very interesting investigation at the Weisman House, St. Louis Ghost Hunters went back to the location to reinvestigate. This time we took a different approach and tried to stir up the activity. After the previous investigation, we had reason to believe that the activity was caused by an angry spirit named “Thomas” who did not like the music played in the home. Both of the owners are musicians and one of them, Nicole agreed to play the guitar and sing during the beginning of the investigation to try to stir Thomas up. The group was also shadowed by Aimee Levitt, a writer for the Riverfront Times, for her feature on the group.

This time upon returning to the home, the house was completely empty as the owners were in the process of selling the home. As we began setting up our equipment, we asked Nicole to begin playing her guitar and singing.

During setup, several members of the group got uneasy feelings in the lower level and we noticed “orb” like activity in the lower level on the DVR. Once setup was finished, the group all descended to the lower level to begin the investigation. Once there, the owner continued to perform her music and activity began immediately. Most of the group, Nicole and Aimee felt a cold spot that seemed to be moving through the room. This activity went on for several minutes.
The group then made their way upstairs to the master bedroom to investigate. Nicole once again began to perform some music and once again the activity picked up. Cold spots were felt by numerous people in the room, but the activity seemed to be centered near Nicole. As she continued to play she not only felt cold spots, but she also began to feel sick. At this point Nicole decided to leave for the remainder of the evening.

The investigation continued in the master bedroom. The group did an EVP session and tried to make contact with whatever it was that was making the Nicole sick. The activity in the room died down and the group took a short break. During the time of the EVP session while all investigators were in the master bedroom, a recorder in the basement picked up a lot of banging and knocking noises. These noises were picked up on the recorder, but were not heard by anyone upstairs during the investigation. The noises were not heard until evidence review began the next day.
Once the group began investigating again, they made their way back downstairs. The group decided to investigate a small bedroom on the opposite end of the lower level. The bedroom had not been thoroughly investigated during either investigation.

While in the bedroom, the group did some EMF work with the K2 meter and also had an EVP session. After spending some time downstairs the group returned to the master bedroom upstairs and once again tried to make contact with “Thomas” or whatever other entity may have been present. The room felt very calm this time around and the group had no luck making any type of contact.

STLGH then wrapped up for the night and evidence review started the following day. While reviewing a recorder that was left in the utility room across from the bedroom in the lower level, we found the recorder caught a couple of interesting EVP’s. The first was as we walked down the hallway heading toward the bedroom. After Eric says hello it sounds like something says “Hi”.
The next two were caught while we were investigating inside the bedroom. The first can be heard after Eric was having problems shutting the bedroom door. Something that sounds like “this is our house” can be heard right before the door clicks shut.
The second one comes as the group all sat in the bedroom doing EVP work. Right after the door closes a voice is heard. It sounds like it could be saying “crazy people”.
Like the first time, we also picked up some unexplained bangs and knocks on the recorders. Some were heard as they happened on the night of the investigation while others were discovered later during the review process.
After two investigations, St. Louis Ghost Hunters believes that the home is definitely haunted.

I would like to personally thank Aimee for painting me as a drunk in that article.
Just kidding. Nice work, everyone!
I thought the article was great too–she did a nice job capturing the personality of the group and gave people a true taste of what being on an investigation is like.
I would just like to thank the group for being so professional with both investigations of our house. When I was with them on the second time around, I had fun and was scared and felt safe, all at the same time. They all work so hard setting up all the equipment and making sure everything is operating correctly. They called and emailed me multiple times to attempt to “de-bunk” noises. These guys are the real deal! Out to find the truth about one plane of existance in this world.
Thanks Nicole!
