So, YOU want to attend the Halloween night investigation with St. Louis Ghost Hunters? Read our initial requirements below and if you’re still interested, send us an email at stlouisghosthunters@yahoo.com telling us a little about yourself, any previous investigation experience you might have and why you want to be considered.  Please respond by October 22nd to be considered!

  • Must be 18 years old or older with a valid state-issued picture ID
  • Must have a clean background–we will check! (minor traffic violations accepted)
  • Must be available for an in-person meeting with the group prior to final selection during the week of October 24th
  • The ability to meet the group at a public location on October 31st to join our carpool to the investigation location
  • Must be available from 7pm on October 31st through 5am on November 1st (Yes, this is an overnight investigation!)
  • Must sign a liability waiver and a confidentiality agreement
  • Must agree that STLGH may use pictures of you, video of you and recordings of your voice online and for other promotional and informational purposes
  • Must agree to abide by the investigation standards of STLGH and follow instructions of STLGH team members at all times
  • May not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at any time during the experience
  • Willingness to turn off your cell phone and leave it at “base camp” during the investigation
  • The ability to maintain clean language and a professional demeanor at all times
  • The ability to be tobacco-free for the duration of the investigation (the availability of a smoking area is not guaranteed)
  • The ability to safely and easily negotiate uneven terrain, stairs, narrow spaces, unfamiliar areas, etc. in the dark and without the assistance of others while holding a flashlight
  • The ability to sit quietly without fidgeting for long periods of time
  • The ability to remain calm and composed regardless of what you are experiencing
  • Must provide your own flashlight and new batteries (we’ll provide a red filter if you don’t have one)
  • Must provide your own snacks and refreshments for break times
  • Attire worn on investigation night must be plain, comfortable, clean, quiet, in good repair, appropriate for the weather and non-reflective. Shoes must be rubber-soled and closed-toed. Tops must be completely plain and black/dark colored. No perfume, aftershave, cologne or scented lotion.
  • Personal cameras or other equipment may be used with prior approval of STLGH, provided it does not interfere with the investigation
